1 Therefore, since we have
been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ. 2 Also through Him, we have obtained access by faith into this grace in
which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only
that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction
produces endurance, 4 endurance produces proven character, and proven character
produces hope. 5 This hope does not disappoint, because God's love has been
poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. ~ Romans
5:1-5 (Holman Christian Standard)
Praise God that He provided
Christ through whom we are justified with that which truly appeases our
conscience and not the law, it is by faith and not that law that justifies us.
It is through Christ that we stand steadfast against those who hang onto the
miseries and tragedies of the “Church” think that the Christian dream is of another
place and time but we enjoy that hope now because our hope is of the grace we
enjoy here and now.
Afflictions and tribulations
are not a reason to be miserable! We are able to rejoice giving us
opportunities to be patient, this long suffering assures of the righteousness of
God. Our experiences confirm and cultivate our hope that will not mislead us.
The foundation of hope is
an assured confirmation of the conscience, by the gift of the Holy Spirit, that
God loves us, and this is nothing else but that which we call faith, from which
it follows that through faith our consciences are calmed.
These precious advantages
and privileges which result from our justification are those that should energize
us all to persistently and painstakingly make sure to ourselves that we are
justified, and then to take solace that it provides to us, and commit to do the
responsibilities Christ calls for us to do. We have PEACE with God! Is not sin what
causes the controversy between God and us?
4 I am not angry, but if it
produces thorns and briers for Me, I will fight against it, trample it, and
burn it to the ground. 5 Or let it take hold of My strength; let it make peace
with Me- make peace with Me. ~ Isaiah 27:4-5 (HCSB)
Our Holy God in honor
cannot be at peace with a sinner while he continues under the guilt of sin. The
justification afforded us by Christ makes a way for peace with God. In faith,
we reach out and take hold of EL, ELOAH, All Mighty Gods’ are and of His
strength so we are at peace. In this peace, we are in a loving relationship
with ABBA.
14 For He is our peace, who
made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His
flesh, 5 He did away with the law of the commandments in regulations, so that
He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace. ~
Ephesians 2:14-15 (HCSB)
Jesus Christ is the peacemaker, the Mediator
between God and man. Adam created innocent, had peace with God immediately, and
needed no intercessor. As soon as sin entered into the world it is a very terrifying
thing to think of God without Christ, with now Christ there is no peace.
Father give us Your strength to live in righteousness committing to the
responsibilities that You righteousness brings. Living in hope and peace
knowing that through Christ, we are righteous, and we are Yours! Amen.
