Greater ~ a book review

Greater by:Steven Furtick

This is a great book if you are not sure what the christian faith has to offer. If you have not taken time to read scripture or have never attend a small group study and just want to know what its all about this is a fantastic book. If you have been a christian for a long time and need ideas on how to talk about your faith and what Christ has to offer this is a fantastic book for you. If you need to know how to broach the subject of your faith with a non-believer this is the book for you. If you have a desire to enter into a relationship with scripture and want to learn this is a good start to the basics. The author penned this in the a fashion that you do not have to have a theology background to understand subject matter.

The stories of the bible combined with real life illustrations brings home the idea that scripture is as applicable to us as it was when it was written. The book is extremely well penned and will enhance scripture study to anyone regardless of where they are in their walk. If you read the Bible on a regular or semi-regular basis, this will be an excellent recap of many of the stories and messages that the author writes about. The author takes a well balanced approach about how to looking into yourself and explore ideas of why we are here and God's intentions for us. For some of us this message may be clearer than for others where we may find the message difficult to understand. This writing lends itself well as a tool for a bible discussion or a life group.

I received a free copy of this book from WaterBrook Multnomah in exchange for my honest review of the book.
